Arthur’s Seat & Salisbury Crag

by WBlackwell on July 3, 2005

Arthur’s Seat.  An 823 foot lump in the middle of Edinburgh. Volcanic rock formed in the Carboniferous Age (350 million years back) and ground down and spread out by glaciers 2 million years ago to make Salisbury Crag. There two main ways up to the top and I’d call one ‘not too hard’ and the other ‘easy’. A great way to get some exercise and the views are terrific.
