Dunnottar Castle

I can’t even imagine how they built or rebuilt this castle, but it obviously was in a position of strength throughout the years.  It is most noted for housing the Honours of Scotland (crown jewels) from Cromwell’s army during the Civil War.

The water was fresh in the cistern but not suited for drinking.  The beer they made with it on the other hand was.

And there are 215 steps to the castle.

215 steps are you kidding me. The photo of you doesn’t show wear and tear from walking up? and
of course down! Have you plans to fly home soon?
