Due to sudden parental health issues I feel as though I am more needed back in the States and so after 40 days of wandering the UK, that is where I am headed.
Taxi picked me up 8 AM GMT from Balloch to Glasgow airport. 9:30 Flight to Gatwick in London. 2 hour bus to Heathrow in pouring rain, horrendous traffic and hail thru some absolutely lovely English countryside.
BA was able to book me on a plane that afternoon to Boston where, after flight delay and a one hour crawl thru customs, my brother & wife picked me up at 9:30 EST. When I hit the pillow in Vernon CT. it was 4 AM GMT! Long, long day.
I plan to return to the UK as soon as practical as I have found my muse, and need her inspiration as she Polishes my writing and I have so many more places that I want to see. Too much as I said in the opening post to see in a few mere weeks. In the mean time upcoming wanderings will be Stateside as I visit Boston, Washington, DC, New York City, Seattle, WA and others.
