Holyrood

I have an unusual habit when in Edinburgh, I go to First Minister’s Question Time.  This was my sixth time attending.  I find it fascinating and nearly panto level entertaining at times. Those time are when Wee Dougie 3Jobs or Murdo tries to be clever and then fails spectacularly.

As I headed down the Mile I noticed lots of men & women in what appeared to be firefighter’s jackets.  Turns out the the firefighters were not the only folks staging a protest that day.

I spoke to a number of the firefighters to find out their beef.  Firefighters risk their lives to save other s and their property but it’s hard to do so with outdated equipage, inadequate pay and severe redundancies. Seriously, who you gonna call when you house is on fire?

Lesbian, gay, trans supporters and the mandatory haters were all gathered too

Some of the best views, especially on a day like today, of the center of Edinburgh are from the roof terrace on the National Museum of Scotland

.

The structure on the right is new to me.  Sculpture of a dog poo?
