Isle of Iona

by WBlackwell on December 21, 2019

This was my third attempt to get to the Iona.  As you can see the ferry to Mull is not the problem it’s the wee one from Mull to Iona, without much protection from the wind that curtailed previous attempts.

Once there I had the place to myself. When I visited Rothesay Castle, I had the same experience of being the only person in the place.  Creepy, cool.

Craignure Mull Ferry Terminal.

Not a pile like Jedburgh but an active church.

There is a small museum with reminders of divers visitors.

The B&W is less dramatic when the subject is alive.

No matter what one believes, there must be admiration for the faith of others.

Imagine being the driver? Craignure Mull Ferry Terminal to Fionnphort Ferry Terminal is nearly 2 hours of this single track road.
