My first stop was Lochgilphead. The bus from Oban was about a 40 minute ride. The hotel I had booked was a bit before Lochgilphead so I was a little traumatized when we shot right past it. Having no way to return, I canceled and took a room at the Argyll Inn. The pub bartender booked me in and helped carry my bags to my room. Very decent. Both the tender and the room. I then went out to see what I could.
Whilst I still don’t know if the bartender was kidding. I asked for a martini and he offered Martini & Rossi. I got my drink, the dinner was great and as Van says “The craic was good”. My breakfast was a ‘Full on” and held me over for quite a while. This area needs further inspection.
