Newquay

I probably should have gone here a couple months ago when I was nearer but the weather forecast was so brilliant, I needed beach time. One day I’ll have to visit the stretch of England between here and Bristol to finish that part of the coastal circumnavigation.

I stayed here a couple nights. Great breakfast, a lift, fair price and on the ocean.  Best Western Hotel

Now the would have been helpful. I like trikes.

Stunning vistas. This is a beach. One with cliffs and lads in wetsuits. “How’s the wartar” I asked. “Whattas fine” I was told. Yeah, we were both speaking English, but I was born in Boston and these lads were born in Cornwall!

And we don’t want the cliffs to crash

You know those British beach huts we see in movies? I like the pattern the fence made in front of them

The line of mussels gives an idea of the tidal flux

The mind wanders back to the days of smuggling. Towers on hills and holes in the ground. What boy can resist? Not this one

I had to know the story. So you build a quiet retreat. (How one might ask) but due to the constant attacks by hen & stag parties you sell. In 2012 this went for a measly £1,000,000. Now I have to figure out if I can get there.
