Tarbert

Tarbert sits on the shore of Loch Fyne.  This sea loch is know for it’s oysters and kippers and has a good harbour that shelters many pleasure and work boats. IMG_0061IMG_0062I stayed at the West Loch Hotel IMG_0093 a couple of nights where I breakfasted on these: IMG_0123

The famous kippers and they were the best ever!

The day was brilliant and I opted for a little hillwalking.  There is a well marked path that rises above the town complete with old castles, sheep gates, cairns and views.

I ended my walk at, of course, a pub as I was both parched and famished.  And again the craic was good

After a long day hillwalking this was my spot - Tarbert
