Edinburgh Botanic Gardens

by WBlackwell on May 28, 2015

A beautiful day requires a walk in a beautiful garden.  Too far to walk and still have time to see it I took the #27 bus to the Botanic.  I was there in 2003 and it could not be missed on such a day.  I even got just the right amount of sun to brown w/o burning!

Started in the Japanese rock garden.  If that was all I’d seen it would have been worth the price of admission.  Well, no.  The garden is free so that’s not right.  It would have justified the trip in itself.

There is, of course a glass house. A huge one.  It can be seen in the 2003 blogs but today, with the sun beating down, it was to warm & humid for my fibro and lens fogging.

Bill, I am just blown away by these gardens. So much to see. Everything is vibrant, healthy and just
down right jaw dropping. So glad the sun is out and you can really enjoy walking about. And how
long did it take to do the shell room (s) in the Meditation Cottage.

Bill, Just gorgeous. I am jealous I missed this while I was there. But the day we had free it was probably not the best weather to go. Thanks for sharing your journey. The gardens look amazing!
