Glasgow

Last spring I visited most of the major tourist attractions in Glasgow.  This time I did a little more wandering around the city, taking buses to wherever or just walking. Here are somethings that caught my eye

This Anglican church was closed so all we see is exterior

Don’t know that this was but I liked it

This is typical of many Glasgow neighborhoods

I knocked on the door of this Free Church and Kenny, if memory serves me, was doing a bit of touch up painting.  He let me in and we chatted.  About Paris, about his home in Harris, my wanders.  It was a relaxing few minutes and I left with a blessing.

I took a bus to the Science Center and missed my stop since the bus didn’t stop near it so I had an 1 1/2 trip out to when the bus stopped I often asked the drivers for a few secnds to snap a photo of something I saw.

Actually wrong word.  I try to observe more than just see.

This is Inchinnan Village outside Glasgow.  I also saw Erskine, Renfrew and Braehead

I liked this spire so the driver gave me the 3 seconds needed

Or Scott Street, Glasgow.  You do not want to walk this.  After the first time up & down from the Victorian Hotel where I had stayed last spring, I knew there wee less strenuous ways to the hotel.  With a great brunch breakfast and large room, my only complaint was rubbish Wifi.

The Brew Dog food menu looked good, but I was still full from breakfast. I did have room for a couple of their liquid products like Dogma a Scotch ale, dark in colour with a hint of honey and at 7.4% one must be careful( in comparison a Bud is 5% and tastes like, well it has no taste) They also make a brew that sits at 47% yes, fourty seven, no typo that is served in drams and is I believe £45 for a small 330ml/12oz bottle

And though only 4.7, the B-side milk stout would make a superb dessert beverage.

A violin with a trumpet??  Sounded great

Since his surname is spelled like the Scotch, I’m guessing it’s pronounced “Jewers”

Bud Neill created the cartoon character Lobey Dosser about 75 years ago
