Although if one pronounces the town as it is spelled the look from the bus driver makes one ask the proper pronunciation and hears its something like: Hoyk

I’d learn more about James Thompson the next day.

Somewhere, under all that water, is there a Duke?

On a day that began like any other, William Rule saved Scotland’s beloved King Robert Bruce from death by wrestling a charging bull to the ground in the Caledon woods on the borderlands of Scotland and England. As a reward for his feat, William was given lands in Bedrule and dubbed Sir TURN-E-BULL (Turnbull). I had a nice chat with folks in the Heritage Hub.

Commemorating the Battle of Honshole.
