Kent Cavern

The whole point of this route is The Lizard.  About half way through  having so much fun waiting in the dock trying to cleared to enter the country, the Border Agent asked where I was going.  I said “I’ve been to 3 out of 4 of the most extreme points on tis island and now I need to check off the most southern”  She replied “Oh, you’re going to LAnd’s End?”  “No The Lizard.” “Where’s that?” “On the most southernly point of the island” Now she seemed put out.  “Where next” I said “The goal is to reach the Orkneys” “And where is that?” I’m biting my tongue because I’ don’t know if she is stupid and doesn’t know where they are which seemed appalling for a Border Agent to not know or if she was testing me.  “Scotland” I simply said.  “Oh.” Two more hours, a full bag check and whatever my sin was I was temporarily absolved.

From London with such nice weather a trip along the coast to The Lizard in Cornwall made sense.  As I checked out the towns along the way from the Boka, I spotted this:

Having been so impressed by the salt mine caves near Krakow, I decided to see what is under all this greenery that most people love about the country. The caverns were formed during the Pleistocene beginning 2.5 million years ago. With human remains found that were 42,000 years old, the oldest homo sapien in Europe.

Pitch in a shell for a torch/flashlight

I can’t remember and can’t find online how deep or far the caverns go and that ticks me off
