Manchester Armed Forces Day

Whilst wandering around Manchester I came across the local honoring of the troops.  There was a stage set up for performances and by some luck, I happened upon an 11 year old who was to sing a tribute to her friends and others who perished during the terror attack at the Manchester Arena a few weeks before.  Eleven.  This will be pathetic I thought.  Could not have been more wrong.  Kayla Hilton showed a stage presence and skill level that performers many years her senior would have been proud to match.  I was very moved.  I later got to meet the young woman who, I am convinced, will one day make Simon Cowell smile and her delightful and proud family.
