National Gallery – Berlin

Considering the art on the Gallery esplanade, I knew the inside would be mind-blowing

I found this one particularly disturbing. I’m guessing the bag in the rider’s left hand holds a head.

And this American Indian was a surprise

Vilma Parlaghy – Kaiser Wilhelm III 1898 & Kühnert’s Lion at Watering Hole

von Werner- Crown Prince Frederick  at Court Ball 1878

Kruger – Presentation of the Regiment 1817 & Frederick & Emperor Joseph

In light of the current atmosphere of the calling out of sexual harassment, I found Pan & Psyche disturbing.  He appears to be gloating and she just wants the encounter to be over.

Bocklin;s Sirens don’t seem to be that appealing when one considers their legs! But his Ruggerio will be Angelica’s savior.

The FlaxBarn – Liebermann  & Lenback’s Otto von Bismark

Gedon – Richard Wagner

von Piloty – Seni & Wallenstein’s Corpse

The Rodin exhibit is powerful with the Thinker seeming to make the mental act physical

Manet/ Monet ?

And Renoir

It took me a moment to see that the woman was doing a shadow sketch

And these wall frescos are from Rome

Both of these by Lessing, the Knight’s Castle and Riflemen Defending a Pass I found powerful

Schinkel’s view into the Heyday of Greece & Kunstler – Landscape with Pilgrim

Friednich – The Wotzmann & Rohden’s Waterfalls near Tivoli

Graff- Julienne Bause

Seiffert – Blue Grotto in Capri
