National Museum of Ireland – Archeology & Natural History and National Gallery

The National Museum is exhibited in four separate locations 3 of which are in Dublin. Archeology was all about Vikings and early Irish history.

This is a 4000 year old dugout canoe found  in a bog near Galway and is 14m/45ft  long cut from one tree trunk

The Museum is purpose built as so is stunning in itself.

The Natural History Museum in around the otherside of the same block.  Seriously eclectic and jammed.  It really needs to be housed in a large building.

Each antler on this Irish Elk are about 7-8 ft/ 2-2.5 m

In the Gallery.  I either missed a wing or due to construction exhibits were closed
