Nice day for the train from Glasgow and back at my regular haunt in the city, the Sakura GH on W. Preston/S. Clerks St., Edinburgh. Zoopla has apartments at well over £700/week in this area. In another town that might be monthly. No wonder folks are moving to Galashiels and taking the train into the capital for work. I paid £25/night!
Arrived before check in so I dropped the kit and headed out. Across the street the bartender was just setting up so I grabbed 1/2 of Trooper Easy Shift
Went back after my room was ready to change and jumped the bus, got off one stop too early so only a mile to my destination. A church which makes a ton of £ off off a book about Jesus and Mary Magdalene having offspring.?!?!? So there’s that conflict. Then with concession it’s £7 and insult upon insult, no interior (spell checker changed it to: iterate. A reminder to always proof) photos. Anyway it’s a beautiful wee building with stunning architecture although it appears many of the interior statues are missing.

And once back, I found the free scotch pies were just the thing watching whatever game was on down the block.
